Through the silent night, let me hear Your voice
When my heavy heart sighs, make me to rejoice
When I close my eyes, let me see Your face
When I’m drained and dry, pour out on me Your grace
When I am weak and in pain
Be my strength, Your comfort gained
When the barbs are sharp, speak to me sweet things
When accusing tongues expose, hide me ‘neath Your wings
When the storms about me rage, be to me my calm and peace
When outward standings take decline, be my great increase.
And when my soul fails and falls in the darkest night
Raise up my spirit to the purest heights!
