O Holy King of Israel!

ChristTriumph

The Lord Jesus Christ has so touched my life.  These writings have been inspired over many years by God’s love and grace.  May the poetry, lyrics, and stories herein inspire your heart to a deeper love for the Lover of our souls!

My first post is one of my older works.  I penned these lyrics back in 1987, although they are really re-workings of inspired Scripture.

O Holy King of Israel

Who reigns upon the throne

You’re coming for those who’d believe

You’re coming for Your own.

O Holy King of Israel

O Holy King, Immanuel!

Look up!  Your redemption is nigh

The world of sin condemned to die

Luke 21:28

The Lord Himself shall descend

And we be caught up, we shall ascend!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

When He appears, we shall be like Him

For we shall see Him as He is!

1 John 3:2

What wonderful promises the Lord has given His saints!  I’m looking up for His return!  “Come, Lord Jesus!”  (Revelation 22:20)

The many correlations and parallels between the two books make this very logical reasoning. Let Scripture interpret Scripture. I will be posting a chart with these many similarities. The Old Testament prophets echo through time, right up until the end, when the Alpha & Omega, the First and Last (Rev 22:13 and Isa 41:4) closes the old chapter of human history and ushers in visibly and unquestionably His Kingdom! (Heb 2:8)  We have not yet seen “every knee” bowed, but we can rest assured that we will see that Day! (Phil 2:10 and Isa 45:23) “Look up! Your redemption is nigh!”* […]
